New changes to onam kit

Today I want to share with you about the amazing change that Onam kit has made. Now all the news media is full of about the weight loss of the food items included in the kit and adultered food items. The kit was tendered to various companies for distribution. When the resources were delivered through it, a lot of errors occured in it. Therefore the state government has finally taken an important decision.

For BPL card holders, august  24th is the last day to purchase the kits.  Since then, kit distribution to blue and white card holders has begun. Currently the kit includes of 11 items. But they are now replaced by 10 items. At present 1 ½ kg of sugar is added instead of jaggery.  The state government has now withdrawn over 3600 kg of jaggery from depots at Changanacherry, Ranni, Thodupuzha, Pathanamthitta, Thiruvalla, Nedumkandam, and vaikom. Instead of 1½ kg of sugar is included in the kit.

Sucrose levels have been found to be low in jaggery distributed in some places. Found to add some adulteration  for some Colour contrast. A complaint has been received that the weight of the items in the kit is law. Those who have already bought the kit should check the jaggery in it and use it.

Currently the kit is getting 1 kg of crushed wheat, ½ liter coconut  oil, ½ kg mung bean/ vanpayar, 100g turmeric powder, 100g chili powder, 100g coriander powder, 100g sambar powder,1 packet  pappadam, 1 ½ kg sugar, semia/palada.
