In this condition our body doesn’t produce insulin. It can lead to swelling in the macula. It can destroy the sharp vision in this part of the eye. It may cause partial vision loss.
It usually develops in people who already have diabetic retinopathy. When you have diabetes, you should plan to make regular eye doctor visits and check the vision. Diabetes damages blood vessels all over the body. Damage to your eyes starts when sugar blocks the blood vessels .
Most frequent complications of diabetes are eye problems like cataract, glaucoma, retinopathy, and macular edema. It may cause blindness. Glaucoma occurs when the optic nerve is damaged ,due to high pressure inside the eye. It may cause vision loss.
