As you all know the distribution of free rice started on July 21. There will be a lot of changes in the rice supply from this month onwards from the previous rice distribution. As per the earlier decision, the card holders were given 5 kg of rice per member of card and 1kg pulses per card.
But now the distribution has changed for the better. From now onwards the distribution will be for 4 kg of rice per member of the card. In addition one kg of wheat will be available. This is the distribution of rice under the Prime Minister’s Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. This distribution is available to AAY and BPL Ration card holders.
The rice distribution of Garib Kalyan Yojana will continue till November. It was said that beans or peas would be distributed with the rice. But since these have not reached the ration shop, so it is not possible to know when it will be distributed.
APL card holders were given 10 kg of special rice in May and June. The benefit was Rs 15 per kg. If you have any arrears in may /june, you can buy it in July month. APL card holders who have purchased special rice from the ration shop in the last two months will get only the rice mentioned in the ration card this month.
Those who buy rations inappropriately are liable to a fine of up to Rs 50,000 and imprisonment for 1 year.please share this information to others. T
