Ayushman Bharat pradhan mantri jan arogya yojana is national public health insurance fund . The main aim is to provide free access to health insurance coverage. It was launched by the Prime Minister. It is an attempt to move from a sectoral approach of health service delivery to comprehensive need based health care service. It covers prevention,promotion, ambulatory care at primary, secondary and tertiary level.
It helps the economically low people who need Healthcare facilities. They provide an e card that can be used to get services at hospital, public,private and anywhere in our country. This Scheme provides health care to 10 crore families. Poor and lower class families,middle income families are eligible. It is paperless,cashless hospitalization cover at public and private hospitals. It covers hospitalization, pre hospitalization, medications, post hospitalization expenses.
Benefits
- Its coverage includes three days of pre-hospitalization expenses.
- Its coverage includes 15 days of post hospitalization expenses.
- It provides Rs 5 lakhs coverage to every family per year.
- Those living in scheduled caste,scheduled urban areas are eligible.
- The members will get Rs 5 lakhs insurance coverage.
- It is enough to cover medical, surgical treatment in cardiology, oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, etc.
- If Multiple surgeries are necessary, highest package costs paid in the first instance, 50 % waiver for second,25 % for third.
- No waiting period for pre existing diseases.

Eligibility
- Scheduled caste ,Scheduled tribes in rural areas
- Families with no male members aged 16 to 59 years.
- Families having one physically challenged member.
- Landless households.
- In urban areas,Washerman,rag pickers,mechanics, electricians, repair workers.
- Domestic help ,sanitation workers, gardeners,sweepers ,cobblers, plumbers, masons,porters,welders,painters,drivers ,conductors,and peons are eligible for this scheme.
- Those who own two ,three,four wheeler, fishing boats are not eligible.
- Those who have their own mechanized farming equipment are not eligible.
- Those who have kisan cards with a Rs 50000 credit limit are not eligible.
- Government employees are not eligible.
- Those owning 5 acres.are not eligible.
How to apply for Ayushman Bharat yojana
- It has no Registration process.
- PMJAY applies to beneficiaries identified by SECC 2011.
- You can check if you are eligible tobe beneficiary.
- Visit the official portal.
- Click am I eligible option.
- Enter mobile number, captcha code,
- Click generating OTP.
- Select state,name,ration card number, mobile number.
- You can verify if your family is covered under PMJAY.
How to take print
- It is not an official method, it needs payment.
- Visit the official website print portal.
- Login with ID and password.
- Select Ayushman print option
- Select Download card
- Select state ,proof and enter PMJAY ID.
- Select mobile number
- You can download the card.
