About GMG
The success story of GMG Group started from humble beginnings. Abdul Aziz Baker in 1977 started a small butchery supplying fresh meat, fish and cold cuts which transformed radically with the changes undergone by the UAE. GMG expanded their company from a single shop to become a company endorsing different brands.

GMG also entered into the pharmacy sector in 1978 with Al Khayam pharmacy. This pharmacy was later rebranded as supercare pharmacy.
GMG also stepped into the industry of sports goods. Abdul Aziz Baker, who was interested in the flying shoe, found a profitable area to invest in sports shoe branding and other sports related items. That is how they became the official distributor of Nike in the GCC region.
The first indoor mall was also the contribution of the GMG company known as Jumeirah. The indoor mall was inaugurated in 1988.
In 2000 GMG enlarged its business areas with the opening of Emirates British Nursery. The company provided the best service in child care and pre school education.
