Bank is a financial institution licenced to receive deposits and make loans. It provides financial services. We can exchange currencies and provide safe deposit boxes from banks. Different types of banks are available. Retail banks, investment banks and commercial banks. In April 2020 United Bank of India and Oriental Bank of Commerce were merged into Punjab National Bank.
It has rationalised more than 500 branches post the merger and may further merge branches to reduce operating expenses. Punjab National Bank has issued a notification. This bank said that the new rule about checkbooks. This rule came into effect from October 1 2021.
After the government consolidation Punjab National Bank has become the second largest bank of India after State Bank of India. The existing cheque books of Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India will be discontinued after October 1. The customers of these banks will replace their old cheque books as soon as possible.
And you can apply for your new cheque book from your Punjab National Bank branch. All customers use the new Punjab National Bank checkbook with IFSC and MICR only from now onwards. Otherwise it is a transactional inconvenience.
Next one is good news for those who withdraw money through ATMs. A new law is coming into force on the instructions of the RBI. If there is no cash in the ATM machine for 10 hours a fine of Rs 10,000 will have to be paid. Lack of cash in ATM machines is a major problem. It is mainly seen during the holidays.
All uncategorized peoples now apply for the e- shram scheme. It is started by the Ministry of Labour and Employment India. Candidates who register for this scheme will get a UAN card. This scheme is to collect the information of the unorganised workers of the unorganised sector by the government of India.
The workers covered under this scheme are construction workers, migrant workers ,platform artists ,Street vendors ,domestic workers and agricultural workers. The government aims to register 38 crore unorganised workers.
We can register this portal free of cost and beneficiaries will receive accidental insurance coverage through PMSBY. The workers will get Rs 200000 for accidental death and permanent disability and Rs 1 lakh for partial disability. If a worker wants to avail this benefit Aadhar card ,mobile number, bank account are needed. The age limit is 16 to 59 years. Workers can register on e – shram portal.
You should link the aadhaar card to the PAN link. The last date is September 30. Otherwise you will get a fine up to Rs 10000.
