Most people do not know about this benefit. This benefit is implemented through the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Through this scheme a family can get up to Rs 5 lakh per year as medical aid.It is a free insurance scheme. We do not have to pay even a single Rupee as insurance for this benefit.
This is one of the biggest benefits of our ration card. About 40 % of the people are members of this scheme. This benefit is available to those who are members of the Ayushman Bharat project. If you have four seals on your ration card you are eligible for this benefit.
Those seals are PMJAY,KASP,RSBY,Chis plus. You are eligible for this benefit. You should check your ration card. We can apply for this benefit. It is like an aadhar card. With this card we can get health care from other states in our country. This benefit will be available from 500 hospitals in Kerala.
You can check the name of hospitals in PMJAY application. This benefit is available for inpatient treatment only. All yellow and pink ration cards have these seals. These seals are also seen on some blue and white ration cards. The government has provided a facility called Ayushman desk in all Taluk Hospitals. We can go and check the eligibility.
