On 8th March 2008, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority was launched by the ruler and prime minister of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum with an aim to make Dubai a global centre of culture,arts and literature. As a custodian of arts, heritage and literature Dubai culture strives to develop the cultural and creative sectors in UAE by making a creative economic hub in the city.
