Our central government is bringing a lot of changes in vehicle registration. State inter vehicle registration is waived and a unified system is in place across the country. The Ministry of Road transport and Highways announced that it would introduce a new registration mark for new vehicles.
The Bharat series means a vehicle with BH mark will not require a new registration mark when the owner shifts vehicle from one state to another. This facility will be available to defence personnel , Central and State Government employees ,PSUs,private sector companies.
Government notified a new vehicle registration that will free vehicle owners from re registration process when they shift from one state to another. Station relocation occurs with government and private sector employees.
They need no objection certificate from parents state, assignment of new registration mark after road tax, application for refund of road tax.Its BH registration mark is YY BH ####XX
YY is the year of registration, BH is the bharath series,#### is randomized (0000 to 9999) and XX is the alphabet .It will facilitate free movement of personal vehicles across States. The vehicle has a BH registration mark, the motor vehicle tax shall be levied electronically. It is very useful.
Under the 1988 act ,a person is allowed to keep a vehicle for not more than 12 months in any state. But now registered authorities have to make a stipulated time of 12 months.
They will have an option to register for the BH series, they have to pay road tax for 2 years.Road tax is 8 % for Rs 10 lakh costing vehicles,10 % for Rs 10 to 20 lakh costing vehicles,12% for above Rs 20 lakh costing vehicles.
