Today I would like to inform you about welfare scheme for pravasi. Our state government has decided to provide huge benefits to the pravasi. Today I would like to share with you an important point to note for those working abroad and those returning from abroad.
Our state government will provide training to those who have returned home due to covid or other crisis to go abroad again. There will be online meetings in this regard in the concerned Panchayat or municipality. Through this meeting expatriate can share their problems with the government.
The budget estimates for this are around Rs 100 crore. Pravasi working abroad can also become members of the welfare fund. Those who have returned home after working abroad for two years or more those who are currently working abroad and those who have worked in other states in our in India for more than six months can become members of this pravasi welfare fund.
Locals will get monthly pension of Rs 3,000. Those abroad will get a monthly pension of Rs 3500. Therefore non members of the Pravasi welfare fund should become members as soon as possible.
Those working abroad have to pay a monthly stipend of Rs 350. Those returning from abroad have to pay a stipend of Rs 200 each.
Members of the pravasi welfare fund get a lot of protection.
Age limit
18 -55 yrs
The pension starts at the age of 60 years. Dependence will continue to receive pension after death. Marriage assistance,educational assistance, financial assistance is provided for disability caused by an accident, benefit is also available for housing. We can take the forms online from NORKA.
