This is a benefit of around Rs 6000 for women across the country . It is coordinated by the central and state governments. There are a lot of eligible people in our state who are different from APL BPL for this benefit. And there are those who are still benefiting. It is a joint project of mathru Vandana Yojana and Janani Suraksha Yojana.
The central and state government of India devised the schemes such as Mathru vandana and Janani Suraksha Yojana to protect women’s health, reduce infant mortality and promote full term contraception throughout the country. The women first delivery is about Rs 5,000 inclusive of our state contribution, through the mathru Vandana scheme .
similarly in the Janani Suraksha Yojana ,an additional sum of RS 1,000 is added to the amount and get RS 6,000. It is for childbirth in hospitals that receive the benefit of Janani Suraksha . There will be various installments to get Rs 6000 .
During pregnancy, those related matters should be registered with the nearest Anganwadi centres, PHC or CHC.You get Rs 1000 for first installment. Then 6 months later Rs 2000 will we get. After registering the birth of the child ,the next Rs 2000 will be get. Similarity in the hospital childbirth can be availed of Rs 1000 as part of the Janani Suraksha scheme.
Employees of the central and state government and those in the public sector Institutions and other Maternity beneficiaries will not receive these benefits.
